What is Know Me?

When you sign up to Know Me this allows you to create a PlaceMakers digital ID. We will authenticate your account to allow you to login to access our online business tools with a ‘single sign on’ username and password.  This saves you from having to remember multiple logins making it easier for you to access your online PlaceMakers trade accounts.

 

What is the PlaceMakers Trade Portal?

This is the PlaceMakers hub for our Tradies to access our online trade accounts including the following: 

PlaceMakers Plus

PlaceMakers Online Invoices

PlaceMakers Under Construction (LBP questions)

Note: NextMinute & PlaceMakers PriceIT does not currently support ‘single sign on’ but you can access it from the PlaceMakers Trade Portal site.

 

How can I add a single or multiple PlaceMakers account to my Know Me account?

Yes. You can add multiple accounts when you sign up to Know Me or you can add them later by following the instructions below:

  1. Login to Know Me.
  2. Click on ‘Edit details’
  3. Select ‘Accounts’.
  4. Select ‘Add Accounts’. Select branch and Enter your 5 digit code and click ok.

Note: Your new account status will be pending until it is approved by the administrator. Contact us via our contact form or emailing us at knowme.auth@placemakers.co.nz if your account is pending for longer than 2 business days.

 

How can I remove my PlaceMakers account in Know Me?

Follow the instructions below:

  1. Login to Know Me.
  2. Click on ‘Edit details’
  3. Select ‘Accounts’.
  4. Select ‘X Remove’ and ‘Ok’ to confirm.

 

How can I update my username or contact details?

Follow the instructions below:

  1. Login to Know Me.
  2. Click on ‘Edit details’
  3. Select ‘Contact details’.
  4. Update your details and click ‘Update details’.

 

I cannot login to Know Me. How can I reset my password?

Follow the instructions below:

  1. On the Trade Portal homepage click on the ‘Login/Register’ button.
  2. Click on the ‘Forgot your password?’ link.
  3. Enter your email and a verification key will be sent to you to allow you to reset your password.

                    

I have signed into Know Me but I cannot access my existing Under Construction account to view my LBP points.

If the email you have used to sign up to Know Me is not the same email registered to your Under Construction account you will need to follow the instructions below to connect the two accounts:

  1. Login to you Under Construction account here: https://underconstruction.placemakers.co.nz/login
  2. Click on ‘My Profile’.
  3. Change your email address to the email you’ve used to register to Know Me.
  4. Click ‘Update my profile’ at the bottom of the page.

If you cannot access your Under Construction account from the Trade Portal contact us via our contact form or email us at knowme.auth@placemakers.co.nz and we’ll do it for you.     

 

Why do I have to login to my PlaceMakers Plus account each time I access it from the Trade Portal?

Your Know Me account may not be connected to your PlaceMakers Plus account yet. Your account status will be ‘pending’ until approved by the administrator.

Contact us via our contact form or email us at knowme.auth@placemakers.co.nz if your account is pending for longer than 2 business days.

You can check if your account is in pending status by following the instructions below:

  1. Login to the Trade Portal.
  2. Click on ‘Edit details’
  3. Select ‘Permissions’.
  4. View the status permissions granted.

 

I keep getting an error message. What should I do?
